Program
The number of malnourished and anemic children and youth is extremely high throughout Kibera slum. Malnutrition and under nutrition lead to health issues and child deaths, indeed malnourished children easily get infections and diseases due their weak immune system.
This project focuses on the nutrition in primary schools, where daily meals lack the basic nutriments and vitamins. AHCP is promoting a self-sustainable community by giving schools the opportunity to grow their own vegetables. We give teachers and students the knowledge of gardening and preparing healthy meals, as well as making profit of the remaining products.
